Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister Moinina David Sengeh has promised to dissolve the boards and PTAs of schools that failed to register their pupils for the 2025 Government WASSCE.

He added that the offending schools will have both their heads suspended for negligence. “Impunity must stop,” he wrote.

This move has been triggered by the discouraging low-rate submission of BRS and CASS for schools to the WASSCE portal in Nigeria, which closed on Saturday, 15th February 2025.

As at Thursday, 13th February, 2025, about 90 schools, the majority coming from the Western Area Urban and Rural, have yet to upload their data to the portal.

Mrs. Thompson, a parent, said that Government should take disciplinary action against any school authority that might have aided the recurrence of this ugly happening.
