Toll gate workers are calling the management of the China Railway Seventh Group (CRSG-SL) to increase their salaries as toll gate fees rise.

Reports say several meetings between the staff and management on effort to adjust salaries have gone unsuccessful.

As supervisors receive three thousand Leones as monthly take-home, toll collectors, team monitors, and CCTV clerks settle for one thousand seven hundred Leones.

Sources say staff are offered a one-year contract to evade the payment of pension or other benefits.

According to a reliable source, most times, the Chinese people stage-manage interviews with journalists to satisfy the public with the wrong information as Sierra Leoneans suffer injustice.

“We are skeptical about who to trust, especially when everyone is fighting for their own and they are treating us like foreigners in our own country, yet we should not talk,” one disgruntled staffer said.

Several other workers this medium contacted shared similar ordeal.

Efforts to reach the management to have its own side proved abortive.
