Star Sport Academy has appointed former Mighty Blackpool player David Kamara as its new ambassador.
Kamara, with several national call-ups, will bring his experience in football management and in accounting to the inner functions of the Academy.
In addition to playing for Mighty Blackpool, Kamara once served the Club as head of its finance department.
He is a founding member of Wellington Community Football Team and a former spokesperson for the Sierra Leone Ex-Players Union (SLEFU).
At the moment, he is heading the Finance Department of the Retired National Football Heroes Foundation.
While in the university, he captained the Football and Athletics Teams of IPAM, University of Sierra Leone, where he attained his BSc. Hons. and Master’s Degree.
He is a certified chartered accountant and a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountant in the UK. He is a member of the Professional Accountants in Sierra Leone (Institute of Chartered Accountant- Sierra Leone) and Principal Accountant (Professional), Government of Sierra Leone.
Kamara is a strong advocate against the use of harmful drugs in all respects.
With this acumen, the Board and Management of Star Sport Academy is pleased with Karama’s willingness to guide its efforts in reaching great heights.
