The supposed victim who was alleged to have been sexually harassed by the Board Chairman of Cricket Sierra Leone Francis Trevor Samura has dispelled the allegation, saying the Chairman has, no point in time, made such an attempt on her or on any other female cricketer for that matter.

On Saturday, 12th October, 2024, she told the Manager of Star TV Abdul Rahman Kamara in an interview that she was placed under duress and lured to tarnish the hard-earned reputation of Chairman Samura.

In August of 2023, she said her boyfriend broke into the house of Mr. Samura and carted away with over two thousand dollars, an ipad and a power bank. “I was considered the prime suspect as my boyfriend was at large. The matter was taken to the police station, but our community people pleaded with Uncle Francis to pardon me. I have ever since been on his feet to forgive me.

“A few days ago, former Board member of Cricket Sierra Leone told me that Uncle Francis has paid twenty million old Leones at the CDIID to expedite process doing with my jail term and that he wanted to help me if only I could help them bring Uncle Francis down. Jittery about being jailed, they roped me in. He gave me two million old Leones sent through his elder brother in England to tell lies about Uncle Francis,” the alleged victim explained.

Responding to questions, Chairman Chairman Samura said that the allegations are false, malicious, and baseless, aiming directly at soiling his reputation. He said he had never been to the CDIID to pay twenty million old Leones to jail the suspect whom he has already pardoned.

He referred to the publication made by the Standard Times Newspaper on Thursday, 10th October 2024, on sexual harassment allegation, as malicious and false.

“Chairman Francis Trevor Samura has worked harder to build his reputation and has also made and still making sacrifices to develop Sierra Leone Cricket. He is highly respected globally for his contribution to cricket development in Sierra Leone. This has caused envy and jealousy for him from the people who planned and orchestrated the publication of alledged sexual harassment against him , a habit that’s not associated with him in all his life,” said a neighbour who has known the Chairman for the better part of her life.
